How to make a course available to your clients

If you have a seat-based or credit-based subscription plan, see our instructions on how to publish and set up access to your games on your Campus. To check which plan you have, click “My Account” using the button in the top right corner.

Once your game has been tested and is ready to use, there are different ways to make it available to your clients:

  1. Create a Campus account: set up the Campus where your client's students can access the games.
  2. Create a SCORM account: use SCORM to access the games from an LMS. For SCORM clients, you'll need to contact your Partner account manager at Game Strategies directly to activate this setting.

Setting up the Campus

To give access to the games, you’ll need to create a client and assign them credits or seats. If necessary, buy credits or buy seats.

Make sure your game is published and set up access if necessary.

Finally, you can add administrators to the client account you created.

Here’s a checklist for you:

Using SCORM

For SCORM clients, you’ll need to contact your Partner account manager at Game Strategies directly to activate this setting.

Once it’s active, you’ll need to create an administrator for that client so the SCORM packages can be accessed. This administrator can be an end-client user.

How our SCORM connector works

  • Download a SCORM .zip file and send it to your client so they can upload it to the LMS their students will use to play. We support SCORM version 1.2. Your client can also download these packages from the Admin once they’ve been given administrator access to the account.
  • When the SCORM is launched, an authentication token will be generated, which will create a user in the Admin.
  • Although the student accesses the game through the SCORM package, the game will continue to run in the Game Strategies Arcade environment. This means you can modify the game and publish translations: both updates will be available immediately, but only for students who start playing from the moment the game was updated. There is no need to upload a new SCORM package for each update.
  • Your client will need an active plan for the SCORM game to work, and their students will need an internet connection.

Important

When choosing to use SCORM, consider the following:

  • Student progress data is not available in the Game Strategies Admin for SCORM clients. However, progress, play time, and status will be available in your LMS.
  • SCORM clients cannot use referrals.
  • Students playing games through SCORM cannot participate in the Campus leaderboards, nor will they receive notifications.
  • You will need to download the .zip file for each course and upload it to your LMS/LXP.

Downloading the SCORM .zip

Prerequisite: “SCORM client” must be enabled. You’ll need to log in with the administrator user you created earlier.

Specific course

  1. Go to “Clients” on the left menu and choose a client.
  2. Click on the “Campus” section in the Admin, then select the “Courses” option.
  3. Go to the game you want to set up and click on “View/Edit”.
  4. Click the three dots at the top right and select “Download SCORM package”. Optionally, you can also download the game documents and make them available to your client.

Several courses at once

  1. Go to “Clients” on the left menu and choose a client.
  2. Click on the “Campus” section in the Admin, then select the “Courses” option.
  3. Hover over one of the course cards and select it. Then, select more courses in the same way. You can also select all courses with the option that shows how many are selected.
  4. Click the three dots at the top right and select “Download SCORM package”. Optionally, you can also download the game documents and make them available to your client.

*We use “course” and “game” interchangeably throughout this article. In the Admin, games are called “Courses”.
